I got my front bumper painted finally. (Ensilver all the things!!) If we are asking why I got it painted, well it would be because I got a new bumper put on in the dead of winter. If we are asking why I did that, it was because teaching my buddy stick went horribly wrong and he crashed my car into a snowbank. Here is the evolution:

I know it's dirty but I can't wash it for 48 hours yet...so the front looks nice and the rest is in need of wash haha. My fiancee was very impressed.

How reliable has your cavalier been?

I always thought the later Cavaliers were attractive little cars.

Pretty good thus far. I bought it with about 55,000 miles, in 2010 and put on 89,000 kms (about 55,000 miles) myself. I have had 2 problems. Last year the fuel pump stopped working, so that was about $600 (the fuel pump is hard to get to in these things, and they all fail around 100,000 miles which where my car was at) and one time some type of seal fell out (forget what) and the car leaked oil ridiculously. Combined on that stuff would be around $1K. I had a brake caliper seize once too.

If you're looking for a car for a 16 year old or you need extremely basic cheap transportation, a Cavalier is a pretty good choice. If you car about things like "panel gaps", "wind noise" and luxury options...it's a pretty bad choice.

The 03 styling update really helped the look...hard to find front trim bits for the 03-05 guys though since the 97-02 are a lot more numerous.

Your Cavalier is confusing. It doesn't look like a Cavalier, yet it is.

It's something about those wheels, and the ride height.

Oddly enough, my wife's '00 Cavalier has been more reliable than my '01 Civic. Although maybe I'm just bitter about the cost of some recent repairs.

Hahaha, I can assure you it most definitely is. Maybe it's the 03 bumpers that throw your off.

The car is lowered, but probably only by about 1". I can still get over most speed bumps.

Haha, It just looks sleeker than most Cavaliers are. That's a good height, not too low. Not 4x4 either.
